video about how to replace ipad 4 lcd screen and digitizer assembly - LCDONE

let's go ahead and start to disassemble on our iPad 4 by first feeling back our touch screen so that we can access all the internal components for replacement.

we are going to start off first with our heat gun or blow dryer and heat up the outside perimeter of our touch screen to soften up the adhesive, so that we can separate the touch screen from the base of our iPad, 1 to 2 minutes of the heat should suffice.

let's grab our plastic opening tool to begin our entry into the ipad.

we are going to work at the touch screen edge where it meets the bezel of the ipad to begin our separation.

once the plastic opening tool begins to separate that touch screen slightly and you want to work ourselves around the ipad trying to open up that separation around the entire perimeter.

with one side of that touch screen completely separated, we like to use a triangle opening tool and the separation so that the adhesive doesn't come back in contact with itself, as you continue working at that touch screen into the next side, again with that separation made.

let's use another triangle opening tool to keep that gap open. while working on the touch screen, let's be mindful of the ribbon cable that's about two inches from the bottom on the left hand side of the unit. let's be careful around this area so that we don't cause any irreversible damage.

again continuing all the way around the unit until we've got separation on all four sides leaving triangle opening tools in the gap to help keep the separation.

when you completed with the separation, we can now peel back that front touch screen almost like a book and being mindful of the ribbon cable that's still connected.

let's now work towards removing the LCD, you're going to notice held down by four Phillips screws one in each corner.

let's go ahead and remove those screws, with our four screws removed, let's lift the LCD up and out and gently resting on to the touch screen.

revealing our ribbon cable that has a locking socket into the motherboard, we want to lift the lever on that socket releasing the cable, so that we can remove it from the motherboard, and now completely remove the LCD from the ipad.

our touch screen is going to have similar locking sockets or removal, releasing two levers for the actual touch screen ribbon cable and then the smaller blocking socket for the ribbon cable for the home button assembly down towards the bottom. let's release both of these locks, and we can remove the touch screen completely from the iPad as well.

we can now go ahead and start working towards our reassembly of our iPad 4, starting with our touch screen digitizer we can maneuver it into place in a position where the ribbon cable has enough slack to find itself into the socket on the motherboard.

let's slide are whipping cables into their sockets, lockdown on their tabs and secure the ribbon wire in place, we can move on to our small home button ribbon wire, do the same situation where we're sliding our ribbon cable into the locking socket, and locking down its tab to finalize that connection. with our three connections secured for our front touch screen, we can get our LCD into position laying it on top of our touch screen again with a nut slack on the ribbon cable to reach its socket on the motherboard.

let's slide that cable into its socket and lock down its tab finalizing that connection, with the LCD connection in place we can flip the LCD into its location and begin securing it down with its four Phillips screws at all four corners.

with your LCD screwed down and secured we can move on to our touch screen lifting it up into position, when you're doing this install your replacement touch screen is going to have all new adhesive, you might want to be on the lookout for a little bit of debris or maybe old adhesive on the base of the unit, before securing your touch screen down.

go ahead and flip the touch screen down for the final piece of assembly, and it's not necessary but i find it useful to reheat up the adhesive when you're securing the touch screen down to the base of the ipad to assist with adhesion.

video about how to replace ipad 2 lcd screen and digitizer assembly - LCDONE

we're going to show you how to change a series of parts out of the ipad 2 before doing, so we need to show you how to peel back our front touch screen, about two inches from the bottom on the left hand side of the unit.

we need to recognize that our ribbon cable for that front touch screen is in this general location, and just to the right of the home button is where our Wi-Fi antenna is at here to the bottom side of the touch screen.

so when we peel back our front touch screen, let's be mindful of these two pieces as to not cause irreversible damage, time to begin our entry into the ipad.

let's first start with our heat gun or blow dryer and begin to soften up the adhesive around the perimeter about one to two minutes of the heat should suffice.

our triangle opening tools, let's bring in our plastic opening tool and you'll also notice in this video that we use a simple razor blade.

we found that the razor blade is the easiest way to start the separation of the touch screen from the ipad bezel, which your separation started with the razor blade we can then bring in our plastic opening tool, to continue the separation all the way around the perimeter of the ipad.

as we work the opening on one side, you'll notice we fit a triangle opening tool into the gap. this is to keep the adhesive from coming back in touch with itself, as we work ourselves all the way around the unit.

notice as we go from each side again another triangle tool goes into place.

you'll notice in our video we used our spider to continue peeling the Wi-Fi antenna off the bottom side of the touch screen before completely opening up the unit.

when we finally did crack the unit open, we peeled the touch screen back as if it was a book to make sure we didn't put too much tension on its ribbon wire and cause damage to it.

notice the LCD and how it's mounted with 4 Phillips screws.

let's now take our small phillips screwdriver and remove these screws, so that we can free the LCD for removal. prying up lightly with our plastic opening tool and peeling out the LCD.

we can lay it now on top of our touch screen so that we can disconnect the cable from the motherboard, our LCD cable has a locking socket, it's the metal style lever that needs to be flipped up in a 90 degree fashion. with the lock released, we can now remove the ribbon cable and lift the LCD completely from the ipad.

let's bring our attention now to the touch screen connections, we have two locking sockets we need to flip the tabs on and release, and then we can remove the ribbon cable, and remove the touch screen completely from the ipad.

let's go ahead and do the reassemble of our iPad 2, you'll notice that we've laid down new adhesive strips for our replacement touch screen.

stands out new adhesive strips with all of our replacement parts with the adhesive strips you're going to want to utilize either scissors or a razor blade to go ahead and cut your strips - sighs and lay them in preparation for your reassemble.

we want to go ahead and start our reassemble by positioning our touch screen into place and maneuvering the ribbon cable, in an area so that we can reconnect it to our mother board.

there's two connections here for this cable let's slide them into their locking socket and then flip are locking tab down to secure its connection, with our touch screen securely connected we can now bring in our LCD display, let's lay it on top of our touch screen so that we can maneuver it's ribbon cable to the motherboard, and connected in a similar fashion as we did the touch screen.

with the LCD connected to the motherboard we can go ahead and flip it over into the body of our iPad, and secure it down with its four Phillips screws one at each corner. now before we flip over our touch screen and finalize our reassemble, make sure we clean between the touch screen and the LCD as once we secure it down with adhesive it will be inaccessible for future cleaning.

we can now begin to remove our covers on our new adhesive strips, with our new adhesive strips exposed we can go ahead and flip over the touch screen now, and maneuver it into place to secure that touch screen go ahead and firmly press down on it all the way around the unit making sure it's secure and sealed.

video about how to replace ipad mini 4 lcd screen and digitizer assembly

Step 1 Power down your 4th generation iPad Mini tablet.

Step 2 Apply heat to the top corner of the iPad Mini 4 to soften the adhesive. Use the suction cup and precision knife to create separation between the display assembly and rear case. Insert a plastic triangle opening tool and start slicing through the adhesive. Take your time and apply firm, constant force and additional heat. The iPad Mini 4 display assembly is a much tighter fit than most devices and is held down with a good amount of adhesive. With the adhesive softened, our tried-and-true method of suction cup and triangle opening tools will prevail. The iPad Mini 4 screen is still connected to the iPad by several cables, so don’t try to remove it entirely just yet.

Step 3 Remove the following 4 Phillips screws securing the metal bracket to the motherboard. Remove the metal bracket and disconnect the battery, LCD and digitizer ribbon cables.

Step 4 Release the ZIF connector and carefully slide out the iPad Mini 4 home button assembly cable. The home button bracket is held in place with two gobs of adhesive. Apply heat to soften the adhesive. Use a combination of the spudger and tweezers to pry up the iPad's home button cable and remove the home button assembly and bracket from the front panel.

Why iPhone 6 display screen is so easy to be broken

Since iPhone 6 / 6 plus appeared on the market while popular with consumers, but the resulting ground display screen event, really let the consumers around the world be worried.

Because of iPhone 6 is 2.5d surface design, the screen glass feels better with a drop of water surface, but sacrificed the anti-throw performance at the same time.

It is more crucial iPhone 6 rear camera design is outstanding than the fuselage, flat on level table, is not smooth. This feature more increased the imbalance of iPhone 6 mobile phone fell down force.

The last place, the bane of iPhone 6 using the corning gorilla glass as the screen display on the outside. The glass performance is very good, very strongly pervious to light quality and intensity, key method didn't cut with a knife. But too brittle just, gently touch is broken.

So iPhone 6 earned the world's most fragile electronic products in 2014.
